We currently have an opportunity for a Machine Operator 3 at our Manufacturing Plant in South Boston, VA.

NIGHT SHIFT HOURS

12am - 12pm

(12 Hour Shift)

The Machine Operator III provides skilled manufacturing support by operating, monitoring, and adjusting production equipment to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency objectives. The Machine Operator III independently identifies and resolves routine equipment issues, ensures product conformance, and supports continuous production operations. This role influences operational performance through technical expertise, problem solving, and knowledge sharing while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Manufacturing Operations

• Operate assigned production equipment safely and consistently to achieve established quality, efficiency, utilization, and waste performance targets.
• Monitor production processes and adjust machine settings to maintain product specifications and optimize equipment performance.
• Inspect finished products throughout the production process to identify defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform operational adjustments, and restore production with minimal downtime.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify production challenges and implement practical solutions that improve operational efficiency, product quality, and equipment performance.
• Recognize trends affecting machine performance and proactively address issues to reduce waste and improve reliability.

Operational Support

• Complete required production documentation accurately, including machine operating time, production quantities, and shift activities.
• Support the training and development of less experienced operators by providing technical guidance and sharing best practices.
• Maintain organized work areas in accordance with housekeeping, standard work, and safety expectations.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all established safety, quality, and operational procedures to promote a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.
• Participate in maintaining compliance with manufacturing standards and contribute to a culture of continuous safety improvement.
